For the second year, in order to commemorate World Water Day, on March 17th 2009, 100 students in GR5 and GR6 of the Elementary Section in Central College Jounieh invited Eng. Paul Skayem, to facilitate a conference related to the importance of conserving water and developing water resources to guarantee a healthier future for all, taking into consideration the climate change issue and the environmental issue that it has risen.

  After the conference, our students were invited to participate in the “Plant Conservation Program” that was conducted on the English Section playground (Elementary, Intermediate, and Secondary). Even our students’ parents took part in the program, and the result was colorful flowers and healthy plants everywhere.

  This activity is an awareness session for school students under a joint project on water management funded by the Council for Australian-Arab Relations, The Australian Government and World Vision Lebanon.
